Accessibility statement
This accessibility statement is legally binding in German.
Gesundheit und Du Verlag GmbH is committed to making gesundheit-und-du.at accessible in accordance with the Austrian Web Accessibility Act (WZG, BGBl. I Nr. 59/2018), which implements EU Directive 2016/2102.
Scope
This statement covers the website at gesundheit-und-du.at and all its subpages. Embedded third-party content (e.g. externally hosted videos) is excluded.
Compliance status
We aim for full compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the harmonised European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1, Chapter 9. The following areas are not yet fully accessible:
- Some older embedded audio content (podcast player) does not yet have complete subtitles.
- Complex data infographics do not yet have sufficiently detailed alternative text descriptions.
- Individual images in older articles are missing alternative texts.
We are working to address these issues by end of 2026.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared in May 2026, based on a self-assessment that included automated testing (Lighthouse Accessibility Audit, axe-core) and manual review of keyboard navigation, screen reader output (NVDA, VoiceOver), colour contrast and text alternatives.
